At Aquent, we see the amazing impact that design has every day. Yet we know many nonprofits don't have the resources to hire designers to help tell their story. That's why we created our Design for Good grant program.
We 'll be awarding five $5,000 in design grants to worthy nonprofits who partner with designers to support their mission. We're inviting graphic designers around the world to submit short video entries on behalf of their favorite charity, explaining:
- Their vision for the design project
- What they'll design with the grant funds
- The potential impact of the design project
- Why this nonprofit is important to them
We're accepting submission videos through January 20, 2017. A panel of judges from the design and creative industries will review submissions based on their potential impact, feasibility, and creativity. Grant recipients will be announced in late February 2017.
As the world 's largest creative staffing firm, we know the intrinsic value of design. Our goal for the Design for Good grants program is to showcase nonprofits and graphic designers and the great things they can do together -- to make a real difference in the world.
We're thrilled to see so many designers who are enthusiastic about working on behalf of charities. So far, we've received entries from designers keen on supporting charities such as Helping Orphans Worldwide, Energizing Education, and the Auburndale Community Library.
We're excited to see many more video submissions by Jan. 20. Visit our Design for Good site for a gallery of current entries.
MONICA BLOOM spent 11 years in the corporate world as a designer/art director. Then she decided she'd be good at getting designers jobs and became a talent recruiter. After 3 years as one of Aquent's top recruiters, she became Regional Director overseeing a recruiting and sales team.
