Pop quiz time. Which of these cannot exist without the other?

1. Peanut butter and jelly
2. Popcorn and butter
3. Spaghetti and grated cheese
4. Hot cocoa and sugar
5. Marketing and strategy

The correct answer? Technically, they all individually “exist” by themselves, but they’re all significantly better once combined with their “partners.” Munching away on dry popcorn at the movies might taste okay, but once that melted butter rains onto your taste buds, there’s that feeling of sunshine on your tongue and you can’t help but feel a little happier!

And it’s the same with marketing and a solid, well-planned strategy. Trying to market without a strategy may work initially and for the short-term, but when a strategy is sprinkled on, your campaign suddenly starts to glow, and this, in turn, leads to long-term success. The light shines even brighter when your general strategy is dynamic, flexible, and modifiable in changing times. 

I’m sure I’ve made you a little bit hungry, but more importantly, I should have given you a “lightbulb” moment as well.
