With an increase in hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have started this list to point you to emergency financial resources. Please note:
- We do not give out grants/make donations; this list is an informational resource
- This list is not comprehensive; we are adding resources as we become aware of them.
- We are adding new funds every day so check back for updates

- Esri (GIS) Disaster Response Program - Esri is providing the ArcGIS Hub Coronavirus Response template at no cost through a complimentary six-month subscription of ArcGIS Online with ArcGIS Hub Basic. The template includes examples, materials, and configurations to rapidly deploy an ArcGIS Hub environment. ArcGIS Hub is a framework to build your own website to visualize and analyze the COVID-19 crisis in the context of your organization's or community's population and assets.
- Nationwide list of community foundation relief efforts - An aggregated list by The Community Foundation Public Awareness Initiative.
- New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc. - No-cost consulting services for all New York State nonprofits, assistance with navigating the federal emergency loan landscape.
- Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants & Refugees COVID-19 Resources - An aggregated list of resources for nonprofits working with immigrants & refugees.
- The NDN Collective COVID-19 Response Project - Provides immediate relief to Tribal Nations, front line Indigenous-led organizations, and individuals who are providing essential services to Indigenous communities in North America during the current global health pandemic within the next 15-45 days to provide gap resources during this health crisis.
- GENYOUth For School's Sake - Providing grants of up to $3,000 per school to supply much-needed resources for meal distribution and delivery.
- Wild Apricot COVID-19 Relief - Free three-month sponsored plan for any organization that is 100% dedicated to COVID-19 relief efforts.

EMERGENCY GRANTS FOR INDIVIDUALS
- Government Stimulus - Economic Impact Payments - This IRS web page lets non-filers enter their payment information and others to check on the status of their stimulus payment.
- Government Stimulus - What you need to know from the IRS - An FAQ page created by the IRS to answer your questions about the stimulus payments.
- Government Funeral Assistance - FEMA will be providing financial assistance for COVID-19-related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.
- NATIONAL - Brave of Heart Fund - Provides monetary grants to eligible family members of frontline healthcare workers and healthcare volunteers who lost their lives because of COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - Frontline Families Scholarship Fund - Scholarship America will facilitate the delivery of scholarship funds to the families of frontline healthcare workers who have lost their lives to COVID-19. The scholarships will be available starting in the 2021 – 2022 academic year.
- NATIONAL - Disabled American Veterans - COVID-19 Unemployment Relief - Service-connected veterans that have lost employment as a direct result of the coronavirus are eligible. This includes veterans that are self-employed as contractors or small business owners.
- NATIONAL - American Nurses Foundation Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses - A cash grant for RNs, LPNs, and LVNs who are infected with COVID-19, caring for a family member with COVID-19, or are under employer-mandated quarantine due to COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - Fit Pro Relief Fund - A relief fund from Inspire 360 for fitness professionals that have been most impacted by COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - Western Native Voice COVID-19 Relief Fund - Members of native communities are asked to fill out a "needs assessment form" to help Western Native Voice allocate services to where they are most needed.
- NATIONAL - Patient Advocate Foundation + Team Rubicon COVID-19 Emergency Food Assistance Program - Program will provide urgently needed assistance for patients with cancer, multiple sclerosis or rheumatoid arthritis who experience difficulty accessing or affording food or other nutritional needs due to COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - RedRover Urgent Care Relief - Provides financial assistance to pet guardians struggling with economic hardship when pets are in life-threatening situations.
- NATIONAL - RedRover Emergency Boarding Grants - Provides financial assistance for pet boarding while pet owners are ill and unable to care for their pets due to the COVID-19 virus.
- NATIONAL - Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation Family Assistance Program - Help for qualified families of kids with cancer impacted by COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - Real Change Vendor Relief Fund - Cash cards and gift cards to supplement reduced income for Real Change vendors.
- NATIONAL - It Takes a Village Emergency Funds (Parenting Journey) - Stipend to ease financial burdens for Parenting Journey families
- NATIONAL - Bartender Emergency Assistance Program
- NATIONAL - DoorDash COVID-19 Financial Assistance Program - Financial assistance for eligible Dashers that are diagnosed with COVID-19 and have been active on the DoorDash platform for at least 60 days and have completed at least 30 deliveries in the last 30 days.
- NATIONAL - Freelancers Relief Fund - Assistance of up to $1,000 per household for any independent worker in the U.S. who has primarily earned income through freelance work for at least one year and has experienced a recent, sudden, and unforeseen hardship or loss of income as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- NATIONAL - Moonlighting.com - A leading freelance & work-from-home job site is offering free job searching and access to its business tools to help independent workers better manage jobs and gigs.
- NATIONAL - A Better Balance - A free helpline (call or email) that offers answers to questions about the law for workers facing issues at work related to sick, family, or medical leave.
- NATIONAL - One Fair Wage - Emergency Coronavirus Tipped & Service Worker Support Fund - Cash assistance to restaurant workers, care service drivers, deliver workers, personal service workers
- NATIONAL - *The Workers Fund - Help for gig and low-earning contract workers.
- NATIONAL - Student Relief Fund - Resources for college students in need of support due to a COVID-19 campus shutdown (note: organization does not offer financial assistance)
- NATIONAL - National Domestic Workers Alliance Coronavirus Care Fund - $400 in emergency assistance for home care workers, nannies, and house cleaners who have participated in activities of the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA), NDWA chapters, affiliate organizations, circles and current Alia users.
- NATIONAL - Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund - Emergency funding for those employed by or own restaurants or bars that are facing unforeseen expenses not covered by insurance.
- NATIONAL - HealthWell Foundation COVID-19 Ancillary Costs - Assistance for households that have a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 and have costs associated with delivered food, medication, diagnostics, transportation.
- NATIONAL - Apron Inc. Emergency Fund for Restaurant Workers - Grants of up to $500 each for restaurant workers for all currently employed persons (at least 6 months) who work in locally owned independent food service businesses.
- NATIONAL - American Kidney Foundation Coronavirus Emergency Fund - Small grants for kidney patients affected by coronavirus (NOTE: funds have been depleted & there is a waiting list).
- NATIONAL - Another Round, Another Rally Emergency Assistance - $500 relief grants for workers in the hospitality industry (dishwashers, bartenders, servers, bussers, chefs/cooks, sommelier, managers, hosts, concierge, cleaning staff, or barbacks may apply).
- NATIONAL - SAG-AFTRA Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund - Emergency financial relief for SAG-AFTRA members.
- NATIONAL - HALO (Help A Library Worker Out) Fund - The EveryLibrary Institute is providing grants of up to $250 for library workers who are out of work or affected by the crisis.
- NATIONAL - Seed Commons: Worker Response Fund - Fund will provide direct support to worker-owners at cooperative businesses most affected by closures and downturn associated with the COVID-19 outbreak, such as food service businesses, custom manufacturing, and child care cooperatives.
- NATIONAL - The NDN Collective COVID-19 Response Project - Provides immediate relief to Tribal Nations, front line Indigenous-led organizations, and individuals who are providing essential services to Indigenous communities in North America during the current global health pandemic within the next 15-45 days to provide gap resources during this health crisis.
- NATIONAL - Unite Here Hospitality Workers Relief Fund - Funds for Unite Here members to pay for pay for food, rent, and utilities during the COVID-19 crisis.
- NATIONAL - Restaurant Opportunities Centers United ROC Relief - Financial assistance to restaurant workers impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
- NATIONAL - Brave of Heart Fund - A fund created by New York Life and Cigna to provide charitable relief grants to support the families of healthcare workers who lose their lives to COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - First Responders Children's Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund - Help for paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, firefighters, and employees directly supporting police and fire departments such as 911 dispatchers in need due to COVID-19.
- NATIONAL - National and local COVID-19 resources for undocumented communities - A continuously updated crowd-sourced google doc available in English and Spanish. Recursos Nacionales y locales para comunidades indocumentadas disponible en inglés y español.
- NATIONAL - HealthWell Foundation COVID-19 Insurance Premium Payment Assistance - Assistance of up to $6,000 to pay for health insurance premiums for people in active treatment for a cancer/oncology diagnosis or a serious, chronic illness.
- ALABAMA - Alabama Restaurant & Hospitality Associations AL Hospitality Workers Relief Fund - (Due to overwhelming response, the application has been closed. If and when additional assistance becomes available, the application process will reopen)
- ARIZONA - Maricopa County Funeral Assistance - Maricopa County Funeral Assistance provides help for grieving Maricopa County families who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and have recently lost a loved one. Through the program, you can qualify for up to $1,200 to be applied to burial or cremation services at a participating licensed funeral home.
- CALIFORNIA - United Way of Santa Barbara County Emergency Rental Assistance - Provides limited rental assistance funds to eligible County of Santa Barbara residents, living in unincorporated areas of the County, that have experienced a loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and can demonstrate the need for rental support..
- CALIFORNIA - United Way of Santa Barbara County Joint Response Grants - Individual financial need to help struggling community members secure and maintain basic needs, cover unexpected child care and education expenses, and recover from loss of wages due to business closures and social distancing measures.
- CALIFORNIA - United Way of Santa Barbara County Financial Assistance for Seniors - Goleta - Providing relief grants for seniors who reside in the City of Goleta, are aged 62 and older, and demonstrate a need related to the COVID-19 crisis.
- CALIFORNIA - Mayor's Fund Los Angeles Angeleno Campaign - Provides direct and immediate financial assistance for individuals and families experiencing extreme financial hardship caused by a job loss, severe reduction of work hours, or furloughs.
- CALIFORNIA - *One Family, Los Angeles - A fund in development that will distribute grants directly to families in need in Los Angeles, CA; refer to the FAQ page for information about how to access these funds.
- CALIFORNIA - *Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN) Emergency Community Stabilization Fund - Will distribute mutual aid directly to Asian immigrants and refugees in areas where APEN works (Oakland & Richmond, CA).
- CALIFORNIA - Napa Valley Emergency Financial Assistance Program - Financial help for workers who live in Napa County, CA.
- CALIFORNIA - Humboldt Health Foundation Angel Fund - Small grants to meet immediate medical or health-related needs of individuals who are residents of Humboldt County, California.
- CALIFORNIA - San Diego County Refugee Families Emergency Fund - Small, one-time grants to help refugee workers in the San Diego, CA, area.
- CALIFORNIA - Sacred Heart Community Service Financial Assistance for Low-Income Residents of Santa Clara County (CA) - Fund is no longer accepting applications but you can add your name to an "interest list" if you meet the eligibility requirements.
- CALIFORNIA - California Immigrant Resilience Fund - Directs eligible immigrants to local partners offering relief funds.
- CALIFORNIA - UndocuFund for Disaster Relief in Sonoma County, CA - Help for undocumented individuals & families residing in Sonoma County, CA, who have lost homes, wages, or employment.
- CALIFORNIA - 805 UndocuFund - Fund to assist immigrant families in Ventura & Santa Barbara County, California.
- CALIFORNIA - UndocuFund San Francisco - Help for those in the undocumented community who live or work in San Francisco, or lost employment in San Francisco due to the pandemic.

- CONNECTICUT - United Way of Western Connecticut ALICE Emergency Fund - Provides fresh produce for individuals & families living in the 15 cities/towns this United Way serves in Western Connecticut.
- DELAWARE - Riverside Relief Fund - Relief funds for households in the Riverside housing community in Wilmington, DE.
- DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA - DC Sex Worker COVID-19 Relief Fund - Funds are limited to DMV based sex workers with priority given to those who are Washington, DC, based.
- FIRST PEOPLES FUND - Resilience of Artists & Culture Bearers Fund - Emergency relief to grassroots artists and culture bearers within the First Peoples Fund network so that they can cover urgent personal needs: food, housing, caretaking, and/or healthcare expenses.
- FLORIDA - Florida Immigrant Coalition Essential but Excluded Fund - Funds for immigrants living in Florida who are experiencing hardship due to COVID-19 and who are not eligible to file for unemployment or receive relief through the federal stimulus package.
- FLORIDA - WeCount Immigrant Worker COVID-19 Fund - Provides direct financial assistance to day laborers, farm workers, plant nursery workers, and other immigrant workers and families.
- FLORIDA - * Season of Sharing Fund (Sarasota County, FL - Community Foundation of Sarasota County) - Funds go directly to nonprofits; to receive funds from Season of Sharing, individuals must be working with a case worker at a social service agency. United Way 2-1-1 assists potential clients in finding the appropriate agency.
- FLORIDA - Central Florida Foundation ALICE Recovery Fund - Residents of Central Florida should call 2-1-1 for more information about this fund set up to support Central Florida residents whose financial stability is impacted by the economic consequences of COVID-19.
- GEORGIA - Fulton County COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program - Eligible Fulton County residents living outside the City of Atlanta can apply for emergency assistance for rent and utilities (water, gas, power) resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- ILLINOIS - COVID HELP (Legal assistance) - Provides free, virtual legal assistance to people in Illinois who are facing housing and employment and other economic problems because of COVID-19. Help is available online, all day and every day, and it’s managed by a team of lawyers from nonprofit legal aid organizations across the state.
- ILLINOIS - Illinois CARES: Covid-19 Support Program - A program for University of Illinois students facing financial hardship due to the impact of COVID-19.
- INDIANA - City of Fort Wayne Emergency Rental Assistance Program - Provides funding to help qualified renter households pay for housing costs including past due rent and utility bills and up to 3 months of future rent.
- INDIANA - Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs: Military Family Relief Fund - COVID-19 emergency assistance program for military families experiencing financial hardship.
- LOUISIANA - New Orleans Business Alliance COVID-19 Relief Grants - Grants for "gig workers" residing in Orleans Parish.
- MASSACHUSETTS - The Greater Attleboro Stronger Together Fund Emergency Resources - Provides referrals to emergency assistance programs (including cash assistance) available to families and individuals in the cities and towns surrounding Attleboro, Massachusetts, who have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- MASSACHUSETTS - Massachusetts Workers Emergency Relief Funds - A list of relief funds for workers in Massachusetts.
- MASSACHUSETTS - Boston Rental Relief Fund - This fund seeks to help tenants achieve housing stability by assisting with rental payments. The Fund is currently closed to applications but you can fill out the form to get notified when it reopens.
- MICHIGAN - Oakland County Michigan Rent, Mortgage & Utility Relief Program - Grants for eligible Oakland County residents that have a household income less than 80% of the area median income and have experienced COVID-related hardships.
- MISSISSIPPI - Woodward Hines Mississippi Community College Fund - Emergency relief to Mississippi community college students impacted by COVID-19; if interested, contact your community college for more information.
- NEVADA - Clark County CARES Housing Assistance Program - Assists residents of Clark County who have suffered substantial financial hardship and now lack sufficient income or resources to pay their rental housing costs and utilities because of the COVID-19 emergency or the response to that emergency.
- NEW JERSEY - Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey - Provides help to residents of Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties.
- NEW JERSEY - United Way of Greater Union County (NJ) COVID-19 Emergency Fund - Assistance for individuals financially impacted due to COVID-19 in Union County, South Plainfield and North Plainfield New Jersey.
- NEW YORK - Help Now NYC - Lists assistance for individuals in NYC.
- NEW YORK - Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grants (Berkshire Taconic area, NY) - Small grants (generally around $500) to help those with overdue utilities, medical bills, short-term housing costs and transportation problems.
- NEW YORK - Hebrew Free Loan Society Coronavirus Financial Impact Loan (for NYC five boroughs) - Loans to support individuals with financial challenges caused by the coronavirus outbreak.
- NORTH CAROLINA - Charlotte (NC) Community Foundation Hand Up Grant (HUG) Response Fund - Eligibility screenings will be done through Charlotte County 2-1-1. Funding will range from rental/mortgage, transportation, utilities, childcare, food needs, etc. Simply call 2-1-1 or 941-205-2161.
- OHIO - Home Relief Grant - Starting November 2, 2020, the state of Ohio, working with local Community Action Agencies, will help eligible Ohioans who are behind on rent, mortgage, and water and/or sewer utility bills catch up on past payments back to April 1, 2020 and provide additional assistance through December 30, 2020.
- OREGON - Oregon Worker Relief Fund - Provides emergency financial relief for undocumented workers in any sector that lost wages due to COVID-19 or farmworkers who have COVID-19 and needs to Quarantine (for both documented, and undocumented) but needs financial help in order to take time from work.
- OREGON - Hillsboro Emergency Rent Assistance - Emergency rent assistance funds for people facing eviction. Requests can be made by calling Community Action at 503-615-0770 each business day starting at 9 am.
- OREGON - Oregon Lifeline - Oregon Lifeline is a government program that reduces the monthly cost of phone or broadband service for qualifying low-income Oregon households.
- PENNSYLVANIA - New Hope Ministries Emergency Response Fund - Helps with food, eviction prevention, emergency housing assistance and more for those that coronavirus has impacted within the communities served by New Hope Ministries (click here for a map of eligible communities).
- SOUTH DAKOTA - *One Sioux Falls Fund (Sioux Falls, SD) - to help residents in the Sioux Falls MSA (Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook and Turner counties) avoid evictions and financial hardships if they are unable to work due to COVID-19 and if they are unable to qualify for federal or state assistance. Nonprofits, the County and the City will coordinate to distribute the funds to make sure assistance gets into the right hands.
- TENNESSEE - Memphis Urban League COVID-19 Economic Relief Restaurant & Hotel Fund - One-time grants for hourly restaurant and hotel workers who are Shelby County residents, employed by a business located within Shelby County, who have been furloughed, laid off, or have had their hours significantly reduced directly due to the economic effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
- TENNESSEE - Nashville Emergency Cash Assistance - Up to two months of emergency aid for qualifying families in the Nashville area that lost a job as a result of the pandemic state of emergency.
- TEXAS - City of McAllen Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program - McAllen homeowners may be eligible for up to six months in mortgage assistance.
- TEXAS - Texas Rent Relief Program
- TEXAS - El Paso Food and Beverage Workers Fund (a fund of Paso Del Norte Community Foundation) - Grants to support food and beverage workers in El Paso, Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, New Mexico who have been laid off or working significantly reduced hours due to a temporary closure as a result of the pandemic.
- TEXAS - Get Shift Done El Paso (TX) - An effort to provide paid employment at $10 an hour for laid-off restaurant employees in El Paso, Texas, and help fill essential jobs at nonprofits serving our region's most vulnerable.
- VIRGINIA - Northern Virginia Family Services COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program - Funds for eligible residents of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax County, Fairfax/Falls Church, Loudoun County, Manassas, Manassas Park, or Prince William County, Virginia, that are experiencing hardship due to COVID-19.
- VIRGINIA - The Holli Fund - Offers grants of up to $750 each for individuals in the food service industry in the Richmond area who are experiencing an economic crisis
- WASHINGTON - United Way of King County Rent Help - Rent assistance for eligible residents of King County.
- WYOMING - ONE22 COVID-19 Financial Relief Awards (Teton, WY) - Need-based awards for anyone who lives or works in Teton County, WY, and has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Artist Relief Tree - A crowdfunding campaign that allows artists to request funds (NOTE: the campaign already has more applications for funding than it can accommodate at this time)
- CALIFORNIA - Emergency Resources for Artists & Freelancers - A list of emergency resources in California and nationally, put together by the Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI).
- COLORADO - Boulder COVID-19 Work Projects - Artist residents of Boulder who have lost work can apply for grants of $599 to complete a project. The application deadline has passed but you may submit an application to be placed on the waitlist.
- OHIO - Emergency Resources for Artists/Arts Related Businesses - List of emergency resources for artists in Ohio and nationally, put together by the Arts Commission.
ENTERTAINMENT & THEATER - The Actors Fund Emergency Financial Assistance - Emergency financial assistance is available for people who are unable to pay their basic living expenses (food/housing/health care) over the next two months.
- Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund - Temporary financial assistance for members of the entertainment industry that have needs created or complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- CALIFORNIA - Theatre Bay Area CA$H Grants - financial support to individual theatre artists and small, professionally-oriented companies with operating budgets under $100,000.
- CALIFORNIA - Theatre Bay Area Performing Arts Worker Relief Fund - Relief for performing arts workers who reside in the San Francisco Bay area and have experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19.
MUSIC - American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) Relief Fund - Provides support and temporary financial assistance to members who are in need.
- CV19 Emergency Relief Aid Grant (Musicians Foundation) - Modest, one-time grants up to $200 will be available to eligible professional performers, educators and composers.
