National Philanthropy Day® is a special day set aside each November to recognize the contributions of philanthropy, as well as those active within the philanthropic community, whose efforts and generosity continue to enrich our world and our lives. National Philanthropy Day® is AFP Greater Cleveland Chapter’s largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting member scholarships and programming.

2019 National Philanthropy Day® Master of Ceremonies will be Mike McIntyre, Plain Dealer columnist and host of The Sound of Ideas on 90.3 WCPN, ideastream.

Board members serve many important roles for any nonprofit organization: advocates, leaders, advisors, and donors. How can nonprofit professionals best engage board members, particularly in fundraising efforts? Our panel of esteemed nonprofit board leaders will lead a conversation around best practices for engaging board members, including opportunities to onboard and train new board members, ideas for engaging board members in fundraising efforts, and how to steward board members as you would donors. Attendees will gain new insight and ideas to apply within your own organization.
